Design and construction of a QMS

Our paper, "Design and construction of a quantum matter synthesizer" is published in Review of Scientific Instruments.

We report on the design and construction of our quantum matter synthesizer (QMS), a new apparatus that combines a 2D optical lattice with a dynamic tweezer array. We demonstrate excellent mechanical stability, diffraction-limited imaging, and fast, dynamic control of a digital micromirror device. We also comment on additional interesting features such as the motheye anti-reflective windows and the all-optical long-distance atom transport.
